Call for papers
We welcome proposals for presentations of research, course descriptions, and course materials relating to Teacher Training in EAP.
At the PIM in Bath in June 2001, papers were given to Course Designs for MA module, MA scheme and Diploma courses in EAP. It is hoped we might have an update on those initiatives and hear about new schemes/courses, which have been set up more recently.
In addition, we would welcome contributions on topics relating to in-service provision of professional development/support, eg training aimed at part-time tutors on intensive courses such as Summer Pre-sessional programmes ‘converting’ ELT-experienced staff into EAP tutors.
Sessions will last for 30 minutes followed by 10 minutes for discussion. Presentations using OHP, Powerpoint or audio/visual content will all be supported.
FEE : £20.00 for speakers, £40.00 for BALEAP members, £50.00 for non-members (includes coffee and lunch).
For those wishing to stay overnight, bed and breakfast is available on campus at the rate of £69.00 inc VAT per person. Participants should contact Wivenhoe House directly for this (wivrecep@essex.ac.uk). There is, however, cheaper B&B accommodation available locally, details of which can be sent on registration.
Please send proposals in the form of a 250-word abstract in an email attachment
